Well, doesnīt he look like a little dragon with a beard? Both males and females use the throat pouch, which has a beardlike scaly fringe, to make vivid social displays. The "beard" can change color or be puffed out, and is displayed in a series of head-bobs to let other Pogona know that here is a dragon to be reckoned with.
